『人がいない建築』
人と関係ないところで建築が成り立つ様をイメージしてみる。そうすると今まで人が登場しない建築を想像したことが無いことに気がついた。
人が登場しないということは、人がいなくても建築が成り立つということだが、その昔、インドで見たタージマハルを思い出す。観光客はたくさんいたが、建築自体は贅の限りを尽くしたもので、建築というよりは美術工芸品で鑑賞するためのもので、そこに人がいる必要もなく、ただ眺めるだけのもので、建築というには違和感があった。
今度は、美術工芸品となる建築以外で、人が登場しない建築が成り立つだろうかと考えてみる。
"Architecture without people"
Imagine that architecture is established in a place that has nothing to do with people. Then I realized that I had never imagined an architecture in which no one appeared.
The fact that no one appears means that architecture can be established without people, but I remember the Taj Mahal I saw in India a long time ago. There were a lot of tourists, but the architecture itself was a luxury, it was more for arts and crafts than architecture, there was no need for people to be there, it was just for viewing. There was a sense of discomfort in architecture.
Next time, I wonder if there will be an architecture in which no one appears, other than the architecture that becomes an arts and crafts.
