小さい建築の方が向いていること
周辺環境に影響を与えるような建築はある程度の大きさが必要だと考えてしまうが、見え方や建ち方で小さい建築でも、あるいは、小さい建築の方がより周辺環境に影響を与えることがあるのではないかと考えてみた。
大きい建築の方がより影響を与えると考えてしまう理由は、単純に大きくて見える面積が多いからで、都市の中でより目立つからより何かしらの影響を与えやすいと考える。要するに、建築の見え方や建ち方が周辺環境に影響を与えることが前提になっている。
小さい建築は都市の中での見え方や建ち方で周辺環境に影響を与えるのは小さい故に難しいかもしれないが、もっと限定して都市の中にいる不特定多数の個々人に影響を与えることを考えるならば、建築の大きさは関係なくなるかもしれない。小さい建築でも影響を受けた人が多くなれば、それは大きな建築が周辺環境に与える影響力と同等かそれ以上になるかもしれない。
都市の中での見え方や建ち方で直接的に人とつながり影響を与えることは、大きい建築よりむしろ小さい建築の方が向いているかもしれないと考えた。
