最近興味があることは、創作のキッカケとなった建築論が、そこでの暮らしや生活の営みを自動的に昇華し、勝手に極上な生活に仕立て上げてくれること。

極上というと語弊があるかもしれないが、普段の生活が、そうそうは変わるはずがなく、人もそんなに簡単に変われないけれど、3つの間、人間・時間・空間のうち、１つでも変えれば何かが変わるが、一番変えやすいのが空間で、別の言い方をすれば、環境で、住んでいる場所を変える、部屋を模様替えする、職場を変えるなどが考えられるが、一番効果があるのは、住空間を全く新しくしてしまうこと、やはり、日常生活に直結するから。

変え方も人に委ねる方が案外自分の気付かないことを拾ってくれるので、だから、人自体は変わらなくても、人から見たら今の生活よりよく見えたりする意味で極上と使ってみたが、それを実現するために建築論から考えるのが面白いような気がする。

先日のオープンハウスでは、普段の自分の仕事と比較して見ていた。その建築家の方は名の知れた、哲学者のように哲学を愛し、海外との交流も積極的で、教育者としての側面も持ち、私の好きな建築をつくる方で、自分の中では高尚な建築性と美意識が高い建築を見ることができる機会と思っていた。だから、非常に楽しみにしていた。

ただそれはそこでの暮らしを住人の特殊な趣向に合わせているのではなくて、一般解としての建築性があり、そこでの暮らしが昇華して建築と一体となるような空間構成だった。

それは正しく、そこで創作のキッカケとなった建築論が、そこでの暮らしや生活の営みを自動的に昇華し、勝手に極上な生活に仕立て上げてくれるような感じだった。

なぜそうなるのか。

建築論を創作のキッカケにすることは、レベルの高い低いはあるが、誰にでもできることだが、違うもっと簡単な言い方をすると、こなれていて、オートクチュールの服を、それを感じさせないくらいに普段着として着ているような感じ。

そこには、素材感やその使い方、細部のディテールの扱い方の工夫もあるが、そこまで昇華させるスタディの濃さと深さの違いがあると感じた。

その感じを体感できたことが、このオープンハウスに行った最大の収穫だった。

納め方や材料やその使い方、仕様は今まで知らなかったことがあったりすると勉強にもなるが、昔、私が20代の頃、設計事務所に入った頃はネットもパソコンも無かったので、そういう生の情報が貴重だったが、今はネットなどで調べれば、自分が欲しい情報、例えば材料や器具など、納め方まで、簡単に手に入るので、ネットで手に入らない情報、今はそれが生の情報、例えば、先程の建築家の手のかけ方の密度みたいなものを感じることができるのがオープンハウスの良いところだと思っている。

では、そのためには、まずバーチャルの建築が先走り独り歩きしなくてはならない、それだけで実体の建築が必要無くなるくらいに、それは今すぐにでもできることで、もっとバーチャルの建築を通して建築論を闘わせれば良いだけだと思う。
