箱や包装も考えた方が良い、と言われた。

輪島塗のフリーカップを製作中だが、そのことを先日お会いした京都の古美術店の店主の方に話をしたら、そう言われた。

箱が良いか、包装が良いか、何か別のやり方もあるかもしれないが、どう見せるか、どう見せたいか、相手に手渡す時のことも考えないと。

そこまでは考えていなかった、フリーカップをつくることしか頭に無く、人に手渡す時のことまで考えていなかった。

店主に言わせると、そこまで考えるのが当たり前のことで、それがものをつくるということだと伝えたかったのかもしれない。
