質感を表現する言葉
質感についての質問を受けたので、簡潔に仕上げの表面の感じです、と答えた。たぶん的外れではないと思うのだが何故かしっくりとはこなかった。
質感は感じだから、あくまでも受け手の感じ方によるので正解は無いことになるが、それでは質感を完全にはコントロールできないので、「感じ」ではない何か違う言葉に置き換えたいと思った。
物質の質感は、物質を触る前に最初にどうしても目で追ってしまうので、触感よりも視覚が優位になる。だから、「感じ」という触らなくても言える言葉になり、それで丁度良いのかもしれないが。
では視覚に全く頼らない物質の質感は存在するのだろうか。存在すれば、物質の質感を「感じ」ではない言葉で表現できる糸口が見つかるかもしれないと思い、ずっと考えてはいるのだが、少なくともそれは写真には写らないものとしか思いつかない。

When asked about the texture, he replied that it was a simple finish surface feel. I don't think it's off the mark, but for some reason it didn't quite fit.
Since the texture is a feeling, there is no correct answer because it depends on how the recipient feels, but since it is not possible to completely control the texture, I wanted to replace it with something different than "feeling".
The texture of a substance is inevitably followed by the eye before touching the substance, so the visual sense is superior to the tactile sensation. Therefore, it becomes a word that can be said without touching "feeling", and that may be just right.
Then, is there a texture of matter that does not rely on vision at all? If it exists, I think that I may find a clue that can express the texture of a substance in words other than "feeling", and I have been thinking about it for a long time, but at least I can only think of it as something that does not appear in photographs.
