削ぎ落としたものを拾う
全てを単なる模様だとする見方はモダニズムが捨てたものを拾うことになるから面白いと思った。削ぎ落とした末に辿り着いたモダニズムはまた削ぎ落としたものを拾いはじめ、それは歴史が証明しているが、また拾う時は同じ扱い方をせずに意味付けを変える。
模様も元々は装飾だから削ぎ落としたのだが、拾う時は装飾ではなく何かを識別するための記号とみなすことにした。記号であれば意味付けを容易に操作して創作できる。
究極まで削ぎ落としたモダニズムは一緒に創作できる余地まで削ぎ落としてしまい、全てが一様でつまらないモノになってしまった。そこから脱却するために一度削ぎ落としたものを拾う必要があった。
"Pick up what you scraped off"
The view that everything is just a pattern is interesting because it picks up what modernism has thrown away. Modernism, which arrived at the end of the scraping, began to pick up the scraped one again, which history proves, but when it is picked up again, it changes its meaning without the same treatment.
The pattern was originally a decoration, so I scraped it off, but when I picked it up, I decided to consider it as a symbol for identifying something rather than a decoration. If it is a symbol, you can easily manipulate the meaning and create it.
The modernism that was scraped down to the ultimate was scraped off to the point where it could be created together, and everything became uniform and boring. In order to get out of there, I had to pick up what I had scraped off.
