生活感が溢れ出た方が街としては活気があり、楽しいし、防犯にもなる。

歴史的街並みならば、極力、生活感が溢れ出ない方が良い、生活感とはかけ離れた所で元々街並みが成立しているので、生活感は不用だから。

しかし、なかなか生活感が溢れ出す状況にはならない。生活感が溢れ出すとは、違った見方をすると、プライバシーをさらす訳だから、心理的には嫌、障壁がある。その障壁を無くすのは、デザインでの方向性と技術であり、決して、クライアントの趣味趣向でも、我慢でもない。

さらに、特殊な条件が積み重なって生活感が溢れ出すオープンさが成立するよりも、一般解として、どうしたらオープンにできるのか、または、一般解として展開可能なことをやらないと、他の場所での再現性がなく、街並みには発展しない。

だから、もしかしたら、どこにでもありそうだけど、どこにもないような見え方が理想かもしれない。
