断片の集合

ここが見せ所という部分を意識的につくり、写真写りの良い所をつくり、そのワンカットという断片が流布するような状況は、ネットが当然無い、写真しか無い近代建築では、建築作品を世界中に広めるための手段で、それに批判がありつつも、現代建築は近代建築が素になっているから、現代建築でも同じような状況であり、ネットが当然の状況では尚更、断片的な見せ方でどのように伝えるかが重要になり、無意識のうちに、断片を重要視しているように思う。

断片という細部で全体を暗示するやり方も当然あるが、建築や空間は、人よりも規模が大きいから、わざわざ細部で全体を暗示してやらなくても、実際に体験をすれば全体を把握できる。

そこで乖離が起きる、ネットで流布された断片から暗示される全体と、体験した場合の全体とで。それは当然そういうこともあるのだが、大概は、断片をネットで見る方が先で、体験が後になり、断片を見て良いなと思ったから体験したくなるので、その乖離はガッカリになる。

断片から全体を暗示させることはできるが、その断片の集合だけで全体を構成している場合にガッカリするようだ。

断片の集合に、何か特別なマジックというか、物語性のようなものがないと、実際の体験では見劣りしてしまう。そのマジックや物語性の構築が建築家の能力の見せ所だと思う。

Of course, there is a way of suggesting the whole with the details of fragments, but architecture and space are larger than people, so even if you do not bother with the details in detail, you can grasp the whole by actually experiencing it.

There is a divergence between the whole that is implied from the fragments spread on the net and the whole that you experience. Of course, that's the case, but in general, it's better to watch the fragments on the net first, and later to experience it, and because it's good to see the fragments, you'll want to experience it.

Fragments can be used to suggest the whole thing, but it seems disappointing if the whole set is composed of just that set of fragments.

Without a special magic or narrative in a set of fragments, the actual experience is inferior. I think that the construction of magic and narrative is a highlight of the architect's ability.
