"Imitate and make a connection"

Just because they are next to each other does not mean that they are connected. The same is true for neighbors. Just because they are close does not mean that they can make contact. Distance doesn't matter to make a connection, but when the distance is short, you want to make a connection.

If you want to make a connection, it may be easy to imitate first. It depends on what you imitate, but if you try to imitate what you see, you can connect by being similar.

In terms of architecture, there are techniques often used in areas that preserve historic landscapes, such as imitating exterior designs, imitating exterior materials, and imitating exterior heights.

"The feeling that the realm of architecture expands"

It was after a meeting for the first time. It wasn't a meeting where the proposal went smoothly, but I felt the possibility of the proposal itself, so I decided to convey the possibility and leave it. It is a meeting to reset and propose two adjacent projects as one related project, but since the owners are different, we will continue to have a meeting and rub them together. Since the area that was considered to be the category of architecture has expanded further, it is necessary to think to a place that has never existed before, but I feel that it is possible that I have not dug up yet at the meeting, and it is necessary to further expand the area of architecture. I came. Until now, we have focused on the architectural design elements themselves, but it is natural and comfortable to design the architecture including the extent to which the architectural area that is the premise of the design elements can be expanded. , I didn't want to do anything else after the meeting.

"More affects the surrounding environment"

Even if the architecture is small, it affects the surrounding environment, so we also consider it on an urban scale. Currently, two adjacent projects are in progress at the same time, but since they are completely different building types, I initially thought about them separately. The site is not large, but it is long and narrow, and there is a height difference of about 1m at both ends. I wondered what would happen if two adjacent projects could be linked using the height difference of the site. Since it is a completely different building type, there will be no functional synergistic effect, but on an urban scale, the appearance of continuous architecture will have a greater impact on the surrounding environment than if each project exists alone. So, I thought it was worthwhile to think about the two projects in relation to each other.

"Attempt to make kitchen equipment an architectural element"

The characteristics of kitchen equipment include the texture of stainless steel, clear functions, and no waste, but kitchen equipment is not regarded as an element of architectural design. In an open kitchen, the kitchen equipment is completely visible, and the visible stainless steel material gives a modern impression, which greatly contributes to the impression of the space, but even so, the equipment is only arranged according to the work in the kitchen. Only the texture of stainless steel barely leads to the elements of architectural design.

Then, in order to treat the existence of kitchen equipment as an architectural element, there is no choice but to treat it as equivalent to other architectural elements, or to make other architectural elements approach the architectural features of kitchen equipment.

Normally, kitchen equipment is incompatible with other architectural elements, so plans and sections are divided and do not merge, resulting in a separation between the hall and the kitchen.

Then, if they can be fused without being divided, the kitchen equipment is treated as equivalent to other architectural elements.

If you look at the tools and kitchen equipment, it's already completed and versatile, so you don't need to add anything extra, and you don't want to add it. Therefore, in order not to divide, it is necessary for the architectural elements other than the kitchen equipment to approach the architectural characteristics of the kitchen equipment, for example, that all are composed of the texture of stainless steel.

This is an attempt to create a change in space by incorporating things that were not regarded as architectural elements.

"Fun to try a lot"

There are three days, more than enough, and too much time to come up with a plan from a completely different perspective. Well, there is a source for what to do, so I just think critically about it, but I am thinking of adding a new element. In the first place, there is a time limit, and if you are aware of the end, it will be necessary to put together, and it will be difficult for new elements to enter, but if you are confident in the speed of putting together, you can spend more time and try many different perspectives. it can. After all, it's more interesting to try a lot than to find the answer.

"Incorporate elements outside the category"

The space changes depending on how we take in things that were not considered to be architectural elements. I didn't think of what it would look like in space as an element of architecture, so if I was conscious of what it looked like as an element of architecture, it would look different. The person will change too.

One way to break the traditional form, its place, and the style of the times and move away from it is to incorporate elements that are not in the conventional category.

"Architecture in the process of changing the surrounding environment"

It may be customary to focus after a change when trying to place an architecture that cannot be easily changed as the surrounding environment changes dramatically, but time has passed and by then. There is also architecture, so we must consider how architecture should be in the process of change.

At that time, the attitude of trying to place a building with strong strength that accepts all the changes in the surrounding environment and repels it will demand a new form and appearance of architecture, which is why. Interestingly, it's always the case, and it's not, it accepts everything, but it blends in with the changes of the moment, but it's just like responding to the next change separately. In the end, architecture has adapted to the surrounding environment, but the traces of that time remain, and I am thinking that the traces can become a new landscape as a design.
