形のヒント
大きさが醸し出すスケール感はデザインを上回る。スケールもデザインのうちだと思っているが、あえて別々にすると、デザインの成否はスケールで決まると言っても過言ではない。
では大きさというスケール感の丁度良さはどこからくるのだろうか。スケール感は感覚だから、感覚にズレがなければ良いスケール感だとなる。ただ感覚だとしたら人によって違いが出るはずである。人によって違いが出てしまったらスケール感をデザインの良し悪しの判断に使えない。
それでは感覚でも人によって違いが出ないスケール感がもし存在するとしたら、そのスケール感は何によって決まるのだろうか。
ひとつの仮説として、形によって観念的にスケールが存在しているのではないか、ということで、この形に対しては潜在的にこの位のスケールが丁度良い、と認識してしまうということである。
スケールでデザインの成否が決まるならば、すなわちそれは形でデザインの成否が決まるという当たり前の結論だが、形をデザインする際のヒントになるだろう。
