断絶しない、つながりをつくる
現在の建築があり、そして、次の建築を用意する。そこに何か現在と次の建築の間につながりをつくりたいと考えた。
全く無いことにして次の建築を計画することが普通になっているが、それでは様々な断絶が繰り返し起こるだけであり、断絶は積み重ねたものを無にしてしまい、しかもその原因を建築がつくっていることになる。
建築は人を内包する規模のものであるから影響力がある。だから、断絶しない、つながりをつくることが様々なことに良い影響を与えると考えている。
