偶然性が鍵
自分が認識している範囲が全てでは無いのでその外側に意識を向けようとするのは至極当然の行為だが、その外側でさえ認識の範囲だから外側に意識を向ける事自体が無意味である。結局は全てを認識できることは無く、全てをコントロールしようという考え方自体が虚しい。その時々の出来事は共時的偶然なのだからコントロールしようが無い。唯一できるのは出来事の確率を高めることだけであり、確率を高めるにはコントロールすることとは真逆のコントロールできないことを受け入れる姿勢にある。これは建築の話であり、偶然性がデザインの鍵になるということである。
"Contingency is the key"
It is quite natural to try to turn your consciousness to the outside because the range you are aware of is not all, but it is meaningless to turn your consciousness to the outside because even the outside is the range of recognition. In the end, it is not possible to recognize everything, and the idea of controlling everything is empty. The events at that time are synchronic coincidences, so there is no way to control them. The only thing that can be done is to increase the probability of an event, and to increase the probability, we are willing to accept that we cannot control the opposite of controlling. This is an architectural story, and contingency is the key to design.
