記憶の連なりが都市
建築を都市とつなげようとした時、特別な意味づけとして時間によって蓄積された記憶が必要だとした。その記憶は決して特別なものである必要はない。むしろその場所だけの、個人的で構わない、その局所的な記憶の重なりが都市をつくり、都市に魅力を出す。その記憶を皆が理解できなくてもいい。その記憶がその場所をつくり、その連なりが都市を形成し、建築と都市をつなげることになる。
"A series of memories is a city"
When trying to connect architecture to the city, he said that he needed a memory accumulated over time as a special meaning. The memory does not have to be special. Rather, the overlap of local memories, which can be personal and only in that place, creates a city and makes it attractive. It doesn't have to be that everyone can understand the memory. The memory creates the place, the chain forms the city, and connects the architecture and the city.
