"The story of light in architecture"

I became aware of light only after I started to study architecture. One of the points to watch when observing the work of an architect is how to enter the light. Thinking that it is that kind of thing at first, but observing the way how the light enters, and wondering what it is. I accumulated what I felt.

The reason why the way of entering light is the point to see is that when I was thinking about how to make the architecture look beautiful, I wanted to do something rather than show it as it is, the architecture does not change without changing, the light Is something that changes with time, and in that sense architecture and light are the exact opposite of each other in nature, so I think that the difference would be very effective in terms of performance.

However, being conscious of light was a perspective that was planted by people and was not a spontaneously recognizable perspective, so I was only interested in the fact that I could understand architecture if I was conscious of light. .

After that, I began to think more about light as a form and to think about it as a design element only after I visited the architecture of Northern Europe and India.

The light seen in Scandinavia is diffused indirect light, and there is a feeling that the interior space is totally surrounded by faint light, rather than being designed as a shape of light, it seems that the light is granular and scattered throughout the space. It was like that.

On the contrary, the light I saw in India was sharply pointing light, and at the same time, it was creating a shadow, but what I felt at that time was that the shadow existed first and the light and darkness was clearly visible in the gap between the shadow and the shadow. While letting it go, it felt like a sharp light was breaking in.

In the first place, because the climate is too different between Northern Europe and India, it would be impossible to compare architecture in terms of the environment, but by conscious of the light, we can compare the differences between the architectures and see them visually. I could feel it and realized that the light rather gives the architecture an element of locality, so what should I do to make the light more beautiful and to create an indoor space and to impress the client? I came to think naturally.
