最初のイメージが道しるべになる
どこに居ても気配を感じるように、壁で仕切られた場所はあるが、移動すれば必ずどこにいても気配を感じる。つながりたくなれば扉を開ければよい、お互いに顔が見えるし、何をしているのかわかる。それぞれの場所でそれぞれが違うことをしていても、何かがつながっている。
これは前に設計した住宅の構想段階で、クライアントの話を聴きながら、頭の中で思い浮かべたこと。
家族が好きなように好きなことをして好きな場所にいるのだけれども、ひとつ屋根の下でチラッと見えたり、音が聞こえたり、足音に気づいたり、もちろん一緒に居れば、様々な空間のつながりから、光や風が人に優しく届く。
きっとクライアントの家族がみんな家に居るのが好きだったので、ならば家の中にたくさんの居場所をつくり出し、その居場所はお互いにちょっとずつ空間的なつながりがあるから、その都度好きな居場所を選んでも、お互いにお互いを感じられる、そういう住宅をつくろうした。
具体的なプランに入る前のこういう漠然としたイメージが最後の完成へと導く道しるべになる。
"The first image becomes a guide"
There are places that are partitioned by walls so that you can feel the sign wherever you are, but when you move, you will always feel the sign. If you want to be connected, just open the door, you can see each other's faces and you can see what you are doing. Something is connected even though each place does different things.
This was the idea of the house I designed earlier, which I had in mind while listening to the client.
They do what they want and do whatever they want, but they can see a glimpse under one roof, hear a sound, notice footsteps, and of course, various spaces if they are together. Because of the connection, light and wind reach people gently.
I'm sure that all the client's families loved staying at home, so I created a lot of places in the house, and those places have a little spatial connection with each other, so I choose the place I like each time. But I tried to make such a house where we can feel each other.
Such a vague image before entering a concrete plan is a guide to the final completion.
