建築素性づくり
建築を規模の大小で価値判断しないが、規模が極端に小さくなると、仕切りが無くなり一室空間になり、設備や構造も簡素で最低限のものでよく、後から置かれる物も少ないので、建築単体の素性が素直に表に出てくる。
小さいから、余分な物は省き、必要最低限な物で構成するしかなく、付加物としての装飾は自然と無くなり、装飾をしたければ、人の皮膚と服が一体となるように、必要最低限の物が昇華して身に纏うしかない。
建築を構成する素材は皮膚であり、人が後から手を加える部分が服であり、皮膚と服が一体となった姿が建築単体の素性そのものになると考え、皮膚である素材の使い方を工夫し創造して、服である後から手を加える部分と区別できなく一体となるようにする。
