目で見えるものと見えないもの

東京タワーの足元を見ていて、人工と自然の対比などということではなく、スケールという括りで見た場合の多様性が面白いと思った。

突出した東京タワーの大きさを感じ、沿うように相似した紅葉の木々が存在し、地面を埋めつくす落ち葉とその間を縫う人々がいる。明らかにスケールが違い、ただ相互に関係し合う物同士が、どこに焦点を合わせるのかの違いで、様々なつながりをつくり出し、多様な風景を見せてくれる。

目に見えないものに翻弄された一年だった。まだまだ続く翻弄される状況の中で、唯一確かに感じられるのは目で見えるもののはずなのだが、その確かに目で見えるものでさえ、見る人によって存在が翻弄されはじめている。

きっとそれは見る側の人が見える風景をつくり出しているからだろう。いずれにせよ、翻弄されるのは仕方がないとしても、目で見えるものの存在にまで影響させないようにしたい。

"What you can see and what you can't see"

Looking at the footsteps of Tokyo Tower, I found it interesting to see the diversity when viewed in terms of scale, not the contrast between artificial and natural.

Feeling the size of the protruding Tokyo Tower, there are similar autumnal trees along it, and there are people who sew between the fallen leaves that fill the ground. Obviously the scales are different, and the things that are related to each other create various connections and show various landscapes depending on where they focus.

It was a year when I was at the mercy of something invisible. In the ongoing tossed situation, the only thing that can be surely felt is the one that can be seen, but even the one that is certainly visible is beginning to be tossed by the viewer.

I'm sure it's because it creates a landscape that the viewer can see. In any case, even if it is unavoidable to be at the mercy, I want to make sure that it does not affect the existence of what is visible.
