暗黙のルールなるものは様々に存在していて、それを把握することが空気を読むことだったり、雰囲気を察知することだったりするが、それが社会のルール、ある特定の範囲内での常識であったりするが、そして、革新的なこと、創造的なことはその暗黙のルールを逸脱したところに存在するが、ただそれだけでは単に一過性のブーム、流行に過ぎず、真に革新的なこと、創造的なことはその暗黙のルールを書き換えてしまう。

例えば、Amazon、本は書店のみで買うものだった。25年位前、まだ日本でAmazonのサービスがはじまっていない頃、知人が洋書をアメリカのAmazonで購入したのを知り、その「Amazon」という本とは全く結びつかないネーミングが余計に印象に残った。

今では「本は書店のみで買うもの」なんて暗黙のルールは存在しない。それどころか「本はAmazonで買うもの」と暗黙のルールを書き換えてしまったと言っても過言ではない。

そのようなことは建築でも起こる、というか、建築で創造性を発揮しようとしたら、この暗黙のルールを書き換えようとすることになる。

例えば、金沢に21世紀美術館という建築がある。それまでの美術館は、美術作品を展示するためのスペースだから、美術作品を紫外線から守り、劣化を防ぐために外光はいれない、人工照明で管理し美術作品を見やすくするために、閉鎖的で、どこか薄暗いイメージがあり、ただ、それが暗黙のルールだった。

それを、箱型の展示室1つ1つを隙間を開けてバラバラに配置し、その展示室同士の隙間を開放的にし、そこに外光も取り入れ、明るくて開放的な美術館として、それまでの暗黙のルールを刷新してしまった。

まだまだ建築には暗黙のルールがたくさん存在しており、顕在化できていないものもたくさんあるような気がする。それを1つでも刷新していくことが建築やものづくりをする意味になる。

"Renewal of implicit rules"

Although innovative and creative exist beyond the implied rules, it is merely a transient boom, a trend, and truly innovative. What is creative is that it rewrites its implicit rules.

Amazon, for example, bought books only at bookstores. About 25 years ago, when Amazon's service was not yet started in Japan, I knew that an acquaintance purchased a foreign book on Amazon in the United States, and the naming that was not tied to the book `` Amazon '' was impressed .

There is no implicit rule that "books are only bought at bookstores". On the contrary, it is no exaggeration to say that the implicit rules were rewritten as "books are for Amazon".

That kind of thing happens in architecture, or if you try to show your creativity in architecture, you will try to rewrite this implicit rule.

For example, there is an architecture called the 21st Century Museum of Art in Kanazawa. Until then, the museum was a space for exhibiting artworks, so it was closed to protect the artworks from ultraviolet rays and to avoid external light to prevent deterioration. There was a dim image somewhere, but it was an implicit rule.

Each of the box-type exhibition rooms is arranged with a gap between them, making the gaps between the exhibition rooms open, and taking in outside light, making it a bright and open museum. The tacit rules have been renewed.

There are still a lot of implicit rules in architecture, and there seems to be many things that have not been revealed. Renewing even one of them means building and manufacturing.
