建築での「気持ち」の扱い方
気分や感情も含めて「気持ち」とするが、建築においてプランや形と直接的に結びつかないところで「気持ち」を問うても意味がない。それはどうにでもなるからで、別にこれは「気持ちの良いものです」とすれば、後は好みでどうにでもなる。
では「気持ち」を建築でどう扱うかと考えてみると、気持ちの良い空間をつくる方法をまず考えようとしてしまう。「気持ち」は人によって違うし、「気持ちの良い」というフレーズや同じような意味の「居心地の良い」というフレーズは実態がよくわからずはっきりとしないが、何となくでも良い意味だとは誰でも思うので、それをつくり出すことが、例えば住宅ならば、家づくりに直結させやすい。ただそうすると、最初の話と同じだが「これが気持ちの良い家です」と一言で済み、同意しなければそれで終わりである。
建築で「気持ち」を扱うならば、特定の気持ちにフォーカスするのでは無くて、気持ちを持っている人と建築や空間をつなげることにフォーカスするのが良いだろう。気持ちの良い家や空間をつくることを直接的に目指すのではなくて、様々な気持ちを抱く人が家や空間とどのようにつながるのか、それを建築におけるプランや形で表現する。あくまでも実態として「気持ち」が建築の中でプランや形を成す。それは「気持ち」に直接的な形になる情報が無いから難しいかもしれないが、「気持ち」を含めた感性が重視される時ならば求められることだろう。
"How to handle" feelings "in architecture"
The term "feeling" includes mood and emotion, but there is no point in asking "feeling" where it is not directly related to the plan or shape in architecture. It can be anything, and if you say that this is "comfortable", then you can do whatever you like.
Then, when thinking about how to handle "feelings" in architecture, I first try to think of ways to create a comfortable space. "Feelings" vary from person to person, and the phrase "comfortable" and the phrase "comfortable" with the same meaning are not clear and unclear, but everyone thinks that they have a good meaning. Therefore, if it is a house, for example, it is easy to directly connect it to the house building. However, if you do so, it is the same as the first story, but you can just say "This is a comfortable house", and if you do not agree, that is the end.
When dealing with "feelings" in architecture, it is better to focus on connecting people who have feelings with architecture and space, rather than focusing on specific feelings. Rather than directly aiming to create a comfortable house or space, we will express how people with various feelings connect with the house or space in the plan or form of architecture. As a matter of fact, "feelings" form plans and shapes in architecture. It may be difficult because there is no information that directly forms "feelings", but it will be required when sensitivity including "feelings" is emphasized.
