"Dents and dents"

When you casually familiarize yourself with the touch, when you release the matcha bowl from your hand, the finger fits in the recess on the side, the depression gives the bowl a change of shape and taste. The bowl itself does not change, but the meaning of the dent changes depending on whether a person touches it or moves away from it, and the dent corresponds to the difference between handling the bowl itself and seeing the bowl.

Since the bowl can be moved small, the meaning of the depression can be changed by moving the bowl itself, but since the architecture cannot be moved greatly, the person himself moves to change the meaning.

By combining people, movements, and changes in meaning, it is possible to express something like a dent in a bowl in architecture, and I think that architecture can be made only with something like a dent.

"Become lyrical to improve accuracy"

I assumed that if you increase the accuracy, it will become lyrical.

Increasing precision means creating precision and precision, and I think that lyrical things have ambiguity opposite to precision and precision, but rather hindering becoming lyrical. It may be more lyrical because it is possible to scrape off the excess things to be done by increasing the accuracy.

When we think of lyricism as a substance, we express lyricism with the substance itself, and by increasing the accuracy, we can eliminate the expression of lyricism other than the substance.

"Create lyricism"

I always think in the corner of my head that I want to make something lyrical, saying that it is lyrical that the atmosphere is familiar, that it catches my heart, and that my mood is moved.

The finished product can be architecture, furniture, vessels, whatever, it is not the type, it is important whether it is lyrical or not, and in order to be lyrical, what and how much you are conscious of making it is all conscious. It's surprisingly easy to make and pretend to be lyrical, just show the lyrical design.

It is doubtful that the creator himself should be lyrical.

There are many things in nature, such as the lyricism that can be seen outside the intention and consciousness, and now there is no intention or consciousness, such as the lyricism of autumn leaves.

Do not wear lyricism because it is lyrical. I hope that something other than lyrical work can eventually produce lyrical things through making things.

"Building features"

We do not judge the value of architecture based on its scale, but when the scale becomes extremely small, there are no partitions and it becomes a single room space, the equipment and structure are simple and minimal, and there are few things to be placed afterwards, so architecture The identity of a single unit comes out obediently.

Because it is small, there is no choice but to omit extra things and compose it with the minimum necessary things, the decoration as an additive will disappear naturally, and if you want to decorate, the minimum necessary so that human skin and clothes are integrated There is no choice but to sublimate the limited items and wear them.

The material that makes up the building is the skin, and the part that people modify later is the clothes, and we think that the appearance of the skin and clothes integrated is the very nature of the building itself, so we devised how to use the material that is the skin. Create and make it indistinguishable from the part of the clothing that will be modified later.

"Fun of the beginning"

Even the usual materials can look different depending on the combination, and if they look different, it will be a new spatial experience.

There is generally a theory in how to use materials, and if you follow it, there is no mistake, and knowing a lot of theories may give you experience, and knowing a lot of theories will improve your technical skills and draw out how to use materials. May increase.

However, I think it has nothing to do with creating a different look. There is a certain way of looking, and it is the theory of how to use the material for it, so if the way of looking changes, the way of using the material and the theory will be different. That is, the experience becomes useless.

Therefore, creating a different look is to think from the usage of materials, and there is a risk because the experience of theory may not be useful, but it is fun to think from the beginning or the original. There is, and creativity can be put into it.

"Architecture as a thing"

I'm thinking of a really small building, one that may be the smallest ever. I didn't really care about the size of the building, but when it was so small and used by an unspecified number of people for a single purpose, I found it interesting to think about "small" in architectural design.

If it is small, it is easy to grasp as a whole, so you want to push the architecture as a thing to the front. It is to make the shape geometric, to make the material real, and to show the attractiveness of architecture as an object.

It's fun to design. After all, architecture will simply end up as a container regardless of what it should be as a thing.

"Physicality in architecture"

I want to blend my physicality into the thing of architecture.

When architecture becomes really small, people are treated the same as things, and even when they are in use, they are only things, but it means that things like human physicality are transferred into things called architecture. It is a state that has been transformed and has no traces, and if you want to create that state intentionally, you need to capture and express the physicality of a person as an architecture.

To that end, I would like to expose the physicality of human beings from the category of architecture so that they can permeate well.
