"Be aware"

When I thought about what triggered me when I suddenly became aware of what I was seeing but not seeing, I came up with two triggers.

The first is when you notice the relationship with the object, and at first it is not clear whether you are looking at it or not, but it may be something thin, but the relationship is When I find it, I suddenly start to think of myself.

The second is also a relationship, but it is not a direct relationship, but when the relationship between the object and the society or group to which you belong becomes apparent, within the society or group to which you belong. I have to be aware of this when the existence of the object may hinder smoothness or hindrance.

In reality, I feel that there are more second ones. When I am conscious of something, I may be influenced by something other than myself.

"No need to complete"

What is the gap between thinking and putting it into words and what is actually produced? Maybe words add wishful thinking later. It's a funny story, but people can't help but be disappointed because they draw the past and the future in rosy colors.

I understand, I understand, I understand that I want to say that. But I want to say that it is a retrofit. However, it is not necessary that everything is decided at the beginning. It should be decided gradually. You may be expecting something too much at the beginning.

If you think that everything does not need to be completed now, manufacturing will surely change.

"Design that clings together"

I sometimes think back to the time when I was absorbed in it, but I don't think I was thinking about anything while I was absorbed in it. When you are absorbed, you have a sense of unity with the things you are immersed in, and the things you are immersed in are connected to your own body, even feeling like an extension of your body.

I always think that design is an object, and it exists to confront myself. If the design exists to cling to itself, it will function as part of its own body. The design at that time is no longer called "design", but it may be a new "skin" that is close to the skin.

It seems that "clothes" are realized and responsible, but in the case of "clothes", there is a space between the body and the clothes. Because of that space, it cannot be said that "clothes" are tied to the body, but simply divided into two terms, "body" and "clothes." It can be said that clothes design the space between the body.

"Making irreplaceable things"

If one scene crosses my head, then no one is here now.

If you think of a scene, you will have a relationship with that person. The possibility of a one-scene-specific design would be to build this relationship.

However, the preparation for that requires the feeling of being able to accept the design first. I feel that irreplaceable things are born only when the design takes charge of even the emotional part.

"If there is a hole"

Is it the same feeling that I want to enter if there is a hole?

If you think of a hole as a kind of space, a void in the material, the space will strongly reflect the difference in the material.

For example, the space of a hole hollowed out from a large block of wood will give a completely different impression even if the size and shape of the space are the same as the space of a hole hollowed out in the same large stone.

Furthermore, even if the same wood is used, the impression of a hole-like void made by assembling stick-like wood and a hole-like void made by leaning a flat plate-shaped wood will give a different impression.

Even with the same material, if the shape of the material itself changes, the impression of the space will also change. It is more noticeable in a simple and minimal space, and more reflects the difference in materials.

Therefore, when creating a minimal space, the first thing to think about is what to make, the material comes to mind, then the design that matches the material, so that if there is a hole, you will want to enter.

D5A6F331-C9B5-4169-802E-F9605AE4EE71.jpeg

"Is it liked or disliked?"

If you can make a connection, your emotions will surely be shaken. Everyone, children and adults, wants to express their emotions. It doesn't matter that there is no connection. If it doesn't matter, I have no interest and no emotions. However, it is not always a positive emotion, and there are cases where negative emotions arise, but even so, the emotions still swing, the swing width is important, and the magnitude of the swing width is the degree of impression. Is proportional to.

If you want to easily leave a strong impression, it may be better to dislike it and elicit negative emotions than to be liked by the first impression. What you do is different for each person, but what you do is generally the same.

Even so, if possible, I would like to leave a deep impression by being liked, and if possible, I would think that it would be for a large number of people, but it is impossible as it is, because what you like is different for each person. Yet architecture is going to be liked by a lot of people. If so, you can think of a moderate thing that connects the design with what people like, but in many cases it is only suitable for either being liked or disliked.

C9360B9C-4B35-4B3E-BEBF-F0C8428FC571.jpeg

"Make a connection"

Even if the design is beautiful, it doesn't get caught, so it doesn't leave an impression.

If the design itself has no connection to the person who sees or uses it, even a sharp one will be of no value to that person.

Then, if you can make a connection, accept any design. It can be said that design is to make a connection.
