出来事をつくり出す建築
「暮らし」の中から何かを抽出して建築化する場合、抽出したものはとても小さく、断片的なことかもしれず、とても建築全体を形成するには物足りず、それはただの部分に過ぎないかもしれない。いや、あくまでも「暮らし」の中から何かを抽出して建築化する場合は抽出したものは部分に留めておく必要があり、部分だとして、決してそれで建築全体を形成してはいけない。

物が中心より、そこで起こる出来事を中心にした建築の方が、今この不自由な生活の中で何が困るかと言うと、物は何でも手に入るが、起こるはずの出来事が起こらないことであり、出来事を通して生まれるはずのコミニケーションが生まれないことであり、それは人を疲弊させる。
今この瞬間に求められる建築は出来事をつくり出す建築であり、それは「暮らし」以外のところと建築が結びついてはじめて実現可能となるだろう。
