飽きさせない
どんなに美味しいものを食べていても、毎回同じだと飽きる。それが飛び切り上等でも飽きる。だから、つくる側は飽きさせない工夫というか、人の味覚の特性まで熟知してつくるのだろう。
それは単に美味しいものをつくれば良いという訳では無いのだろう、それ自体も難しいのだが、人の味覚の特性まで意識が及ぶかどうかも能力のうち、味のうちという訳か。
それは他のものづくりでも同じ。かっちり、きっちりと決められていて、それはそれで、とてもハイクオリティであり、誰も真似できないが飽きる。
よく良いものをつくれば必ず評価されるというのがあるが、確かにその通りだが、しかし、本当に良いものは飽きられない、風化しない、むしろ、時が経つほど評価が上がる、だから、飽きられる時点で、本当に良いものでは無い。
その差はどこにあるのだろうか。
それは毎回同じでは無いということ、日々変化しているということ、だから、同じように見えても同じでは無く、常に新しいものが目の前にある、だから、飽きられない、ただし、受け取る側は同じに見える。
同じに見えるけれど新しい、この一見矛盾するようなことをやり続けるのがものづくりで、同じと新しいの間にある一致しない、ねじれている、そのおかげで隙間ができる、その隙間と呼べる位の何ともかっちり、きっちりと定まらない部分が飽きさせない部分になる。

Where is the difference?
